What the plugin does

  • generate_llms_txt reads up to 15 public pages of one website and returns a ready-to-publish llms.txt draft.
  • validate_llms_txt checks llms.txt text you paste against the llmstxt.org format proposal.
  • check_published_llms_txt fetches a website's live /llms.txt and reports status, content type and findings.
  • check_lighthouse_agentic_browsing applies the three Lighthouse 13.3 "Agentic Browsing" rules to llms.txt text.

No account and no sign-in are required. The plugin never changes anything on your website; you publish the file yourself.

Limits and common questions

  • "robots.txt prohibits…": the plugin honors robots.txt. If the start page is disallowed for our crawler (llms-txt-generator.de) or for *, it stops. Site owners can allow it with a dedicated User-agent: llms-txt-generator.de group.
  • Missing pages: JavaScript-rendered content, pages behind logins and links to other domains are not read. Large sites are limited to a curated selection.
  • "Too many requests": website-fetching tools are limited to 20 calls per user every 10 minutes. Please wait and try again.
  • German messages: findings are returned in German; ChatGPT answers in your language.
  • Rankings: an llms.txt does not improve Google rankings. The Lighthouse check is a structural test, not a ranking factor.

Privacy and terms

The plugin stores no results and creates no accounts. Details, including what ChatGPT sends to us, are in the privacy policy and the terms of use.
